I absolutely love this place. But it may not be for everyone. This is a much different vibe than a resort stay in a neighboring destination spot. If you are looking for something a little off the beaten path and away from the crowd, this is your spot. It is a little run down, but the charm will have you looking past the negatives. The food is very good, but down expect fast pace service. I think this is a perfect spot for a couples getaway.
I haven't been here since the late '70s, but my family came here at least twice a year for fishing. The staff was amazing, and the beaches desolate. I see people complain about roaches but fail to consider they are in the tropics. I can not say enough about Rancho Buena Vista, fond memories. I hope to return one day.

This place was so good. The vibe is super laid back. It might not be for people who want a resort experience, and that's ok. RBV is beautifully charming. The beach, which is right there, was empty and the food and drinks were yummy. If you like peaceful settings and don't mind older rooms, then you should swing by and relax.
Only stopped in for a drink. Slightly older establishment. Very well upkept. Great drinks. Great staff. Looks like a good spot for a pool day..day use was only 200 pesos per adult..
